I am the owner of Smart Dogs Walk.  It all started when I was having trouble controlling my 2 dogs while I was in college.  Sure they knew tricks and basic commands while inside the house, but when it came to the walk, I lost all control.  It was like they were walking in their own world and I was just there to pick up the poop.  How enjoyable is that? I was hooked.  I read all his books and the authors he recommended.  I took notes while watching his shows.  I even attended seminars. I researched for countless hours online.  It wasn't long until I mastered the walk with my dogs and could bring them almost anywhere with the confidence of having complete control.  My friends started to ask me for tips with issues they were having with their dogs.  I would find myself pouring out any information I had and offered my help.  After I graduated from University of Central Florida with a BA in Hospitality Management, I landed a job as a kennel tech at Southeastern Guide Dogs in Palmetto, FL.  I worked with dogs being trained to provide services for disable people. There could be up to 100 dogs in the kennels at one time.  It was my job to make sure the dogs were well exercised and cared for while not in training.    I decided to turn my passion into my career and started Smart Dogs Walk to spread my message that the walk is the source of a well behaved dog. They were giving away a free 6 week course at their School for Dog Trainers.  Instead they offered me a year long internship! I did not end up taking the offer, but I had so much fun making this video!
