Skydive City is one of the World’s Premiere Skydiving Centers. We cater to skydivers and students from all of the continents. We are a USPA affiliated dropzone with a solid staff of high quality Instructors, all with various USPA, CSPA, and BPA Instructional ratings. Whether you jump Tandem or AFF, work with our coaches to improve your skills, or learn something new – like freeflying, wingsuits, camera and video work or need to attain an instructional rating – you are sure to receive the finest instruction and care at Skydive City. Other Great Amenities at Skydive City Our Swoop Pond is one of the finest facilities in the world for the Canopy Piloting Sport. We have hosted 2 National Championships and an FAI World Meet and are hosting the USPA Nationals in 2016 again. Team Alter Ego, the PD Team and several other world and national champions come to train at Skydive City. Great spectator viewing for this exciting, fast and daring competition! Before the jump, eat normal but light meals, and the best to drink is water. After the jump, you can eat and drink what ever you like!!! No alcohol or drugs in your system the day of your reservation before making a tandem skydive. Yes, everyone signs a waiver of liability and contract for Skydive City. If you wish, you can preview the waiver, the training information and such on our No, we will not be performing Tandem or AFF jumps when it is raining, very windy or when the clouds are lower than 9,000 feet, but we still can do your training. That way you can be ready to jump right away if you have to come back another day. Weather can causes unexpected delays, so please be patient, we are trying to get you in the air as quickly and safely as possible. If you wish to continue to learn how to skydive, then Skydive City has an excellent staff on hand with over 70,000 jumps combined to teach you how to solo skydive through a program called AFF (Accelerated Freefall). Of course, you can continue to learn via tandem as well, but there is only so much we can teach you – then eventually you will solo via AFF. Some people get a little motion sickness during the parachute ride, but not the freefall. If you are susceptible to motion sickness, then perhaps a Gravol or Dramamine will help. We can fly the parachute like the wildest roller coaster that you have ever been on. We can also fly it smooth, flat and slowly if you prefer that. AFF assume that you will be making a solo jump, even though two Instructors jump with you during AFF. You need to know how to take care of yourself in freefall and throughout the parachute ride, so intensive training is required for that first jump. On a tandem jump, your Instructor is with you from exit to landing. To get a USPA license to skydive takes 25 jumps, plus several technical requirements, and demonstration of specific skydiving skills. It does cost money, and your best bet is to discuss options with your Skydiving Instructor. We have lots of information to help you! Food and beverages are available at the Hard Dock Cafe & Sunset Bar (open after hours).
