Always knowing he had wanted to pursue a career in helping others as a physician, he was accepted into medical school while still a high school senior. Dr. Thompson attended Siena College and Albany Medical College where he obtained his doctorate of medicine. He then completed his Emergency Medicine residency in Orange County at the University of California, Irvine where he served as Chief Resident and received various accolades including Resident of the Year upon graduating. Dr. Thompson is certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine and currently lives and practices in Tampa, Florida. Using his emergency training and expertise as well as a particular interest in emergency medical transportation, he also serves as the Medical Director of SkyCare Global. Dr. Thompson has a focus to obtain superior patient care through effective team leadership.
