Rashida has received certifications in personal training, group fitness instruction, prenatal/postpartum exercise design and and nutrition coaching. She is also the editor-in-chief and publisher of AFIYA Magazine, an extension of Skillfully Sculpted, which was created as a means of providing black women with health information and resources that are reflective of us and our lifestyles. Rashida A. Marshall has also been competing in bodybuilding competitions for 5 years and received the title of World Natural Bodybuilding Federation (WNBF) Figure Professional in July of 2015. AFIYA Magazine is a bi-monthly health and wellness publication dedicated to the enlightenment and empowerment of today’s cultural and professional woman. Our mission is to enhance the awareness and knowledge of health and wellness issues important to African-American women while providing a platform for us to grow, expand and develop within our personal and professional lives. The name‘Afiya‘ is Swahili for physical, emotional and spiritual health and wholeness, and this is the primary focus of our publication.
