Mark DeGennaro is a the Senior Counsel of Situs and Managing Director and the General Counsel of The Collingwood Group, which he joined in 2011. Mr. DeGennaro has over twenty-five years of legal and business experience on corporate transactions and complex commercial matters. At Situs, he advises the executive management team on a wide range of legal, business, regulatory and strategic issues in connection with the operation of the core business, client matters and strategic initiatives. Prior to joining Collingwood, Mr. DeGennaro was with Gruppo Levey & Co., an investment banking firm located in New York, where he provided mergers and acquisitions advisory, capital raising and corporate restructuring advisory services to companies, private equity firms and other capital providers. Mr. DeGennaro held a number of positions during his tenure at GLC in both investment banking and in executive management, including Managing Director, Managing Partner, Head of the firm’s Restructuring Advisory Group and Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Garland leads the operations of MountainView’s servicing analytics team, which supports the company’s residential MSR transaction and valuation advisory services. In this role, he oversees the research and modeling of the variables and scenarios affecting the value of MSRs, and he oversees all of the activities involved in bringing clients’ MSR portfolios to market. Before joining MountainView in 1997, Mark served as Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at Dovenmuehle Mortgage, Vice President of Portfolio Management at PNC Mortgage, Director of Internal Audit at Source One Financial Services, and Senior holds a BBA degree in Accounting and an MBA degree in Finance from Auditor at Peat Marwick. Mr. Garland earned the CPA designation and Wayne State University in Detroit. Brian Montgomery is a Managing Director at Situs and Vice Chairman of The Collingwood Group, which he co-founded in 2009. From 2005 to mid-2009, Montgomery served as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and FHA Commissioner. He was responsible for the oversight and modernization of the insurance fund’s $600 billion portfolio, HUD’s regulatory responsibilities to the housing mission of the GSEs, and the manufactured housing industry. Montgomery came to HUD and FHA from the Executive Office of the President of the United States. Tim Rood is a Managing Director at Situs and the Chairman of The Collingwood Group, which he co-founded in 2009. Mr. Rood was co-founder and managing director of the firm’s predecessor company, Capital Financial Solutions. The Collingwood Group’s primary focus is in the financial services sector, and the firm offers advisory and consultative services combined with access to decision makers, financial sponsors, corporate boards, and senior industry executives. Mr. Rood brings more than two decades of mortgage industry and entrepreneurial experience to The Collingwood Group. He advises organizations to optimize the business opportunities and to mitigate and manage the risks in and around Washington, DC. Mr. Rood is a sought after and regular contributor to various national media outlets including CNBC, Bloomberg Television, FOX Business News, Washington Post, New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and the American Banker. Prior to co-founding Capital Financial Solutions and then subsequently, The Collingwood Group, Mr. Rood was a senior executive of First American Corporation and also served in senior leadership roles within Fannie Mae’s eBusiness Division. During his tenure at Fannie Mae, Mr. Rood consulted Fortune 100 executives from insurance, financial services, and banking industries on the strategic and economic opportunities and challenges associated with residential and commercial mortgage enterprises.
