About Silver Collar Dogs Our Mission is to provide training programs, strategies and methods based on balanced training promoting a high standard of responsible dog ownership. Silver Collar Dogs was founded by Gerald Coalburn in 2011, after obtaining his certification as Canine and Behavioral Specialist from The Triple Crown Academy for Professional Dog Training in Hutto, TX. Silver Collar Dogs provides dog owners with scientifically proven, motivational, and results oriented training solutions. The process begins with a “meet-and-greet” with a full behavioral evaluation of your dog. We listen to your needs to ensure the right training program for you and your family. With our training programs, you will receive all the tools you need to live in harmony with your best friend for many years to come. Gerald and Terri Coalburn are lifelong animal lovers raising dogs of all breeds. Gerald also grew up watching and helping his grandfather train and show German Shepherds throughout Central Florida. These experiences helped guide him to become a Canine Professional after leaving Information Technology and Corporate life. Silver Collar Dogs is located on 5 acres of land in East Orlando, Fl. Gerald and his wife, Terri, continue to help owners and their dogs develop a lasting bond and have happy lives together. We are proud members of the International Association of Canine Professionals. The IACP is dedicated to the education, development and support of dog training professional world-wide. The IACP provides a community where experienced dog trainers mentor, guide and cultivate members to their full potential. Having adopted 2 beautiful Labrador puppies, who were growing quickly, I found myself in dire need of dog training. I heard about Silver Collar Dogs from a friend and contacted Gerald to arrange for training. After talking with Gerald I signed up for 6 weeks of in home private lessons. It was the BEST decision I could have made. Gerald is a canine specialist who really understood what my dogs needed. We have used Silver Collar Dogs on many occasions to sit for our dog. They are extremely flexible with drop off and pick up times and have helped us on very short notice. We have used Silver Collar Dogs services for weekend trips and for week long trips. We have a very active lab, who can be quiet a handful at times. Silver Collar Dogs has always managed her very well.
