Her entrepreneurship skills quickly developed at an early age, and the (now) President and CEO of SilkProUSA had very little time to waste. During her early twenties, Marylin dedicated all of her energy to the creation of a boutique mortgage company specialized in selling closed loans to the secondary market and securing deals with top developers. With Marylin at the helm, South Atlantic Mortgage Corporation became a leader in the market, acquiring millions of dollars in their warehouse line. More than 15 years later, and after leading several successful ventures, the accomplished entrepreneur has been able to merge her enterprising spirit with her passion for empowering women to be proactive about their health. Her company, SilkProUSA, is focused on helping women around the world live longer, healthier, and more fulfilled lives through better health awareness. Marylin Dans’ latest pursuit is the one closest to her heart; one in which she focuses on the establishment of the "Pink Luminous Advocacy Project,” a grassroots nonprofit organization that will provide support and awareness for breast cancer initiatives worldwide. “A multi-faceted career —with many ups and downs— coupled with my personal experience with breast cancer, has made me humbled and stronger. I am grateful to have the opportunity to continue spreading the word about breast awareness as a lifestyle for all women.
