I’ve had the opportunity to have my salon company on Clearwater Beach for over 25 years now. In that time our company has grown and expanded locations three times. We’ve built long standing relationships with many of our guests. We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful local clientele, and also have the opportunity to meet people from around the world daily, that are vacationing here. I have to say, the creativity is what drew me to this industry, however, the people are what have kept me. While I enjoyed many years of being a service provider in this industry, my time is now spent on managing the salon, and growing our team members. We strive to keep our service standards high, have committed to investing in continuing education for our team, and along with this, created a non competitive team based environment. It is great to be a part of! I’ve been in the hair industry over 25 years, and been a Stylist/Co-owner of Sharmaine’s for the last 11 years. I’m passionate about hair, and specialize in corrective coloring, and complete make overs are my favorite! My passion is making people feel great, and giving each guest a custom made hair plan is a part of my service. I adore our salon team and all of our guests! As the lead educator for our styling team, education is also my passion. I am a Redken Certified Designer & Colorist, with unending desire to always be learning. Being able to help train our staff, pass along everything I’ve learned through the years, has been a great experience to be a part of. I have attended advanced training at the Redken Exchange in NYC, Loreal Academy in NYC, London with Toni & Guy. I am certified in advanced Japanese straightening, as well as Brazilian keratin treatments, and currently an educator for Babe Hair Extensions. I’ve been a stylist now for 13 years, and grow more passionate about my career everyday! I specialize in blondes, creating beautiful special occasion styles, & advanced straightening services, all while maintaining healthy hair! I love our salon team, and I have the privilege of being one of the educators here. I am a Redken Master Specialist, I have attended advanced Color & Design classes at the Redken Exchange in NYC, Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, and the Loreal Academy in NYC & Mix Masters. Session Skills & Photo was an amazing experience, a 3 day program, with Noah Hatton, international artist, in NYC. This class allowed me to work hands on, with one of the best artists known for his commercial print work, & helped me to build my own portfolio. I've been in this industry for the past 29 years and can honestly say that I love all aspects of hairdressing. While I do have a passion for creating beautiful special occasion styles and enjoy performing advanced straightening services, I absolutely love doing beautiful hair color and haircuts for my guests. I'm a Redken Certified Colorist, a certified specialist in Japanese and BKT straightening services and also specialize in Babe tape in hair extensions. I have attended advanced color and design education at the Redken Exchange in NYC, Redken Symposium in Las Vegas, L'oréal Academy in NYC and Vidal Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, CA. I have worked backstage with Patrick Cameron, an International artist creating upstyles at the Premiere Beauty Show in Orlando, FL., as well as doing makeup on the models of the Cobella International Artistic team in San Francisco, CA. I love my team members and the fact that continuing education is part of our philosophy, which is why we all continually grow. After being in the beauty industry for 17 years now and a stylist for 7, I’ve been so fortunate to have had many opportunities to grow in this industry by being apart of Sharmaine’s team. I love that here at our salon we are always continuing our education and working as a whole team. I have a passion myself to learn and teach others as I am now apart of Summit consulting program traveling to help other salons reach their fullest potential. As a Redken Specialist and Redken Color Authority, I love creating beautiful color looks and men’s styling. After being in the hair industry for a little over 7 years now, I have a growing passion for everything hair, both men and woman. Being able to get as creative as I can and explore in my work while making sure my guests leave happy and confident is the most rewarding part of my job! I love being apart of our team at Sharmaine’s because of the constant positive atmosphere and my coworkers always encouraging me to explore the creativity in what I love to do! As an already licensed barber specializing in men’s fades/cuts, licensed cosmetologist, and an upcoming Redken Specialist I look forward to the future in my career with the Sharmaine’s Team!
