Shake Station is Ellenton, FL’s newest restaurant, serving up 50s-inspired classics like burgers, sandwiches, salads and signature ice creams that the whole family will love. Proudly serving fresh, hand-pattied, hormone-free beef, our burgers’ great taste can also be attributed to the nearly 40-year-old grill on which they are cooked. Shake Station is the former home of the legendary Big L restaurant, an Ellenton institution for generations, known for delicious burgers and other comfort food in a low-key setting. Big L devotees will be happy to see that even the model airplane is quite happy in its new home, and the Shake Station menu features a Big L.T., our version of a B.L.T., in honor of this local legend. And with a name like Shake Station, you know there’s going to be some really fabulous ice cream involved. Shake Station delivers, with hand-dipped ice cream sourced from the east coast of Florida from the company which also supplies the White House with its frozen treats. Favorites sure to delight include our signature shakes, traditional malts, sundaes piled high with toppings, and Belgian waffles topped with ice cream for the seriously indulgent. Shake Station is far more than burgers & milkshakes though, with an expansive menu offering a variety of fresh salads, wraps, and creative sandwiches like our Sub Station or the Chicken Waffle Cone. Customize your Grilled Cheese, or go for a 50s classic like our Sassy Spaghetti (chili-topped spaghetti), the Olde Hot Brown, served open-face with sliced turkey, bacon, and cheese sauce on Texas toast, or our homemade Buttermilk Fried Chicken. Guests can dine in, or enjoy the weather on our umbrella-covered deck with a burger and an ice-cold draft beer. Little ones are more than welcome at the Shake Station, which was designed with the Ameres’ new son Emmanuel and their many nieces and nephews in mind.
