Shadow Serenity, Inc., a heartfelt non-profit founded in Pinellas County, Florida, was inspired by the special bond between Debbie Newman and her horse, Shadow. This connection proved invaluable during Debbie's battle with ovarian cancer, leading to the creation of an organization dedicated to helping people facing similar challenges. The nonprofit aims to enhance both physical and emotional well-being through equine therapy programs that provide spiritual support. The headquarters at 6117 94th Ave North in Pinellas Park, Florida, saw its incorporation on July 3, 2014. Led by a team of devoted leaders such as President Jamie K Weil, Director Kevin Maller, and Secretary Suzi Tieman, Shadow Serenity operates with utmost integrity and commitment. In the heart of their therapeutic approach are four unique horses: Shady, who leads with inspiration; Noah, born in a blizzard with a gentle soul; Yeager, a strong former Thoroughbred racer known for his sensitivity; and GiGi, a charming miniature palomino beloved by those she meets. Their interactions offer distinctive support to individuals coping with cancer. Shadow Serenity actively involves the community through events and therapies provided at various locations, including hospitals and veteran centers, always striving to fulfill their mission. With transparency at its core, they maintain clear communication and comply with Florida's regulations as reflected in their public records and annual reports.
