Our values define who we are and guide us to make good on that promise: In October 2016 Sensus was acquired by Xylem, a leading global water technology company with innovative and smart technology solutions to meet the world’s most challenging water issues. Colin Sabol is Senior Vice President and President of Xylem’s Sensus & Analytics business. He assumed this role in October 2017 and is responsible for all aspects of global operations for these businesses, including strategy, marketing, sales, product development, supply chain and manufacturing.  Xylem’s portfolio sold under the Sensus brand includes smart meters, communications technologies and advanced data analytics and services for the water, electric and natural gas sectors. This business also includes Visenti-branded solutions, which encompass a suite of advanced products and services to enable the smart management of water distribution networks. The company’s Analytics business delivers precise measurement for water and wastewater, industrial, food and beverage, and environmental applications. Previously, Mr. Sabol led Xylem’s global Analytics and Treatment business, a role he was named to in September 2015.  Prior to that, Mr. Sabol served as President of Xylem’s Dewatering business where he was responsible for all aspects of that global operation.  Xylem is the world leader in the sale, rental and service of tough, reliable, portable pumps and systems for dewatering, bypass and drainage applications. Mr. Sabol served as Chief Strategy & Growth Officer of Xylem, which was spun-off from ITT in 2011. He joined ITT in 2006 and served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Fluid and Motion Control, where he was responsible for strategy, marketing, business planning, mergers and acquisitions, product development and organic growth initiatives. Before joining ITT, Mr. Sabol held a variety of leadership positions with General Electric, including Chief Financial Officer for GE Energy Services and VP of Mergers & Acquisitions for GE Corporate. He led the acquisitions that formed GE Water and was named Chief Marketing Officer of that business in 2002. Mr. Sabol is Chairman of Xylem Watermark, the company’s corporate citizenship and social investment program.  He graduated from Alfred University in New York with a Bachelor of Science in materials engineering.​ ​​​​​ Dave Ayers joined Sensus, a Xylem brand in 2009, and is currently Vice President of Global R&D. He is responsible for the technology strategy and product development for the Sensus portfolio worldwide. Prior to this position, Ayers served in key roles within the company, including VP of Engineering for Sensus North America and for the UK Smart Meter product strategy and development. He brings more than 30 years of experience in global hardware and software engineering, supply chain management, quality and product marketing with major telecom equipment providers, including Lucent Technologies and Nortel Networks. Ayers has a Bachelor of Electronics Engineering degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Todd Boyle is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the overall human resources (HR) function. He has been with the company since 2007 and previously served as the HR Director for Sensus North America and Conservation Solutions. Before joining Sensus/Xylem he spent seven years with Lockheed Martin providing human resources leadership for federal IT and engineering programs. Boyle has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University and holds certifications as Senior Human Resources Professional (SPHR) and Global Professional in Human Resources (GPHR) from the HR Certification Institute as well as Senior Certified Professional from the Society of Human Resources Management. Mr. Cheatham was appointed President of Smith-Blair, now a part of Xylem, a leading global water technology company, in May 2006 and is responsible for the clamp and coupling business. Prior to his appointment, Kevin served 16 years as Smith-Blair’s Controller/CFO. Before joining Smith-Blair he had over 11 years of manufacturing experience in various senior finance positions, including Vice President of Finance. Mr. Cheatham has BA and MBA degrees. Mr. Harber is the Executive Vice President of Global Marketing and International Programs. He joined Sensus, now a part of Xylem, a leading global water technology company, after working at Kinetek, where he was Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During that time he led the company through significant technology expansion and strong international growth. He brings 30 years of engineering, marketing and sales experience to the Sensus management team, including leadership roles at General Electric, ITT Aerospace and Western Digital. He has a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the Indiana Institute of Technology and an MBA from Indiana University.
