dvocacy goes far beyond the scope of IEP meetings, or ramps and accessible stalls in our schools and communities. It’s in our home, it’s where we work, it’s at holiday reunions, and in everyday life.    I am the founder and blogger of Sensory Friends. My family and I are active members in our community as advocates for individuals and families of children with disabilities.  I am also a parent of a child with a disability.  I have one daughter and two sons, one of whom has Autism and who has inspired me to become the advocate I am today. I have worked in the disability field for ten years, advocating for my son and other parents of children with special needs.  As a digital influencer, I love to make connections happen. I enjoy matching people with the information, product, or service they need and crave. I write about advocacy, families of children with special needs, education, community involvement, healthy eating, equality, and events or news that have significant impact on our society. My business acumen highlights my firm belief that blogging, social networking, and clever marketing are the perfect blend for fulfilling the consumer's needs.  I provide in-person and online trainings, I develop and conduct workshops and training initiatives on special education processes, increasing parent involvement in schools and in the community, and creating inclusive communities. In most cases, issues are solved with a simple phone call and no charge is needed.  I may also connect you with agencies near you that can help for free as well.  I'm happy to greet and meet to discuss your family needs and how I might be able to help. Either way, I'm happy to meet you and make a new friend.  I am the mother of three magnanimous children. My daughter Samantha is my oldest, and she is an amazing young woman. My teen son, Richie, is quite the character.  He's funny, loving, and he has Autism. My step-son and youngest, Tiki, is one of the kindest boys you'll ever meet. I am also married to the love of my life, Kirk Goulbourne.  Our family has been active in the disability community for over ten years.
