Semper Fi Tree Services “Our roots run deep” means we are more than just a local tree service. We are a Veteran owned small business with a pride for our great nation. Semper Fi Tree Services also strives to give back to our local community in as many ways as we can. When we were creating the business and slogan, we wanted something that really encompassed all the aspects of our business. From our line of services, to the history of who we are and what is important to us as company as well as a family. Being a family owned small business, it is important to us that we do all that we can to support other local small businesses; because we know we are not just supporting that company but the company’s family as well. Johnny for a few years in the early 90’s, worked for a well-known national tree service as a foreman where he also obtained his Class A CDL. This is where his passion for the Tree care industry started to grow. In 1998 he opted for career change and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. There he served for the next 15 years in various roles including Military Police, Air Traffic Controller, Martial Arts Instructor, Instructor & Armorer. After transitioning out of the Marine Corps life, he went back to something he always loved & that was being outside in the trees! After working for a few tree companies in central Florida, he decided that it was time to start something of his own; that can grow into a company that will remain in our family for generations to come. Duke is Gunny’s Service Dog & best buddy! Duke is a 1 year old Catahoula & Ridgeback mix. Gunny and Duke have been together since he was a puppy & there’s a good chance you will meet Duke while we are working on your project. Duke sticks close to Gunny, but is very friendly when you meet him. You may even catch him helping drag brush. On his off-duty time, Duke loves to play fetch, chase lizards & take naps! Allie is Gunny’s wife, and the one who runs the behind the scenes day to day operations of the company. She is also a 10-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps where she specialized in Logistics Management, Hazmat & Supply procurement. Danny is our Crew Foreman, Heavy Equipment Operator & Class A CDL Driver. He is truly our Jack of all trades! Danny has 20+ years in the industry. Additionally, he is a certified crane operator as well as certified on various Ariel boom lifts & forklifts. He can operate any piece of heavy equipment you put him on. Outside of Tree Services, Danny is extremely well educated and experienced in all aspects of construction & remodels. His knowledge and guidance is exceptionally important when it comes to the safety of your property & our crew during emergency jobs and storm clean up. Couple that with his work horse ethic & Danny is truly one of our company's most valuable assets. Johnny “Gunny” Taff and his wife, Allie, are both veterans of the United States Marine Corps. Our 25 years in the United States Marine Corps has taught us the true definitions of leadership, honor, attention to detail, team work and taking pride in everything you do! With those mindsets, we strive to make our company's customer service and work about true quality NOT quantity!! Trees are one of 2 things: An Asset or A Liability. Healthy, well maintained trees can add to your property value, provide shade that reduces your energy bill, and add to the overall curb appeal of your property. Our arborist can assess the health of your trees to determine their weaknesses before they become a bigger issue for you! If it is determined that you have a tree that is a liability not an asset, our professionals can safely preform the required service to ensure that your property & family are safe.
