About Select Vacation Properties Select Vacation Properties is a full service vacation rental agency exclusively serving the Islands of Sanibel and Captiva.  The company was started in 2006 by Colleen Anderson, and has been in business at the same location in Bailey’s Center, at 2449 Periwinkle Way for more than 10 years. Colleen started the company after many years as a leader in the vacation industry. She envisioned a company which would be very selective about the types of properties offered, and small enough to get to know every owner and every guest personally. She wanted to create a company that could provide the perfect accommodation to meet the needs of every guest, and unlike sharing marketplaces or big corporate enterprises, a company that would be located right here on Sanibel, which can provide 24-hour customer service to our guests. Our staff has more than 50 years of combined experience in the rental management industry on Sanibel, and we are proud of our long association with the Islands.  We live and work here, so we have intimate knowledge and a love of the area, and we really want to share that with our guests. We truly want everyone who vacations with us to feel like part of the family, and come back to us year after year!  Chris has been in the real estate industry in Southwest Florida for more than two decades, and holds the highest designation awarded by the State of Florida for Real Estate Appraisers as a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser (Cert. Gen RZ3169).  Chris is also a Florida Licensed Real Estate Sales Associate (SL3381010) and holds a degree in Commercial Art and Illustration, with a background in marketing and advertising as well as more than a decade of experience in research and analysis of complex real estate assets and markets, including the travel and tourism industry and conservation and natural resource issues.  Chris is also proud to have been recently appointed to the Visit Florida Promotions Committee for the 2017-2018 Fiscal Year.  Chris joined Select Vacation properties in 2016, and really enjoys working on the Island and sharing his passion for Sanibel and the beaches with first-time visitors and returning guests alike.  His primary responsibilities are growth and operations and the development of marketing strategies, social media, web development and other customer-facing components of the company.  Chris has been married for nearly 20 years to his beautiful wife Carla, and enjoys relaxing with his family at the beach or by the pool.
