Innovations such as the double envelope housing pod around a single elevated control room provide enhanced visual security and monitoring, while maximizing staff efficiency. Continuous rear perimeter mechanical chase design allows for maintenance work to be done without requiring jail cell ingress. The first to specify modular steel cells for jail construction in several states, Joe also pioneered the use of touchscreen security automation systems, video visitation systems and direct supervision design in corrections facilities in Indiana, Illinois, Michigan, and Florida.
