Hello and thank you for visiting Sebastian cleaning, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Kristin Sebastian and I am the owner and founder of Sebastian cleaning. Growing up in South Carolina I spent a lot of time riding horses and caring for other types of animals. From the time I was a little girl I knew I wanted to always continue to explore my passions, work to my full potential and in doing so make a positive difference in this world and give back to the community I live in and the people in it. As I grew up I went onto college at old dominion university in Norfolk, VA to complete a degree in business management with a minor in international business and graduate with degree and departmental honors while working for my families printing business and going to school full-time at night. I even took a graduate level finance class at Harvard at which point I determined I had had enough school and it was time to get out into the real world of work and finish with school for the time being. I entered the corporate world in finance and insurance and worked countless hours only to get laid off in the recession in 2008. From there I started a residential cleaning business and a pet sitting business. However I ended up getting other corporate opportunities and at a younger age, financial concerns and uncertainty I took them. At my last position of being a bank manager I knew the corporate world was no longer for me. I was not fulfilling my entrepreneurial spirit, I was not working to my full potential, I didn’t like the bureaucracy or political games and so I decided to plan my escape! Luckily for me there were a few special people in my life here in St. Augustine that took a chance on me and gave me the opportunity to work for them at night doing commercial cleaning after my day job. Through referrals my business continued to grow and I was finally able to leave my corporate job in banking and pursue my dream of owning and operating my own business full time, doing something I loved while giving back to the community of st. Augustine. Today I have found a way to do just that. Perhaps cleaning is not what you would typically or initially think of as a way to do such, but to me it is. And here’s how, Through providing quality cleaning that is dependable, exceeds expectations, is competitively priced while you’re working people that care about you, your family and you can trust, I am able to give to the people in my community. Through doing this, the clients of Sebastian cleaning are able to spend more time with their families, do more of the things they love when they aren’t working and relax and do absolutely nothing when they feel like it or need that time the most. When that can happen our world becomes a more positive place as we now have happier people in it, when that can happen and it is time again to return to work and conquer the world, we can enter it with more energy and intention. I give both time through voluntarism and personal funds I could otherwise use elsewhere to these organizations to name a few because I believe in them and their mission. The main ways Sebastian cleaning supports charitable causes is through voluntarism by giving time, advice and advocacy throughout the community. I n the close knit community we live in, we strongly believe it is important for everyone to help everyone in order to create the environment we live in a better place, give to those that need it most and give back for all that has been given to us. After having three disappointing commercial cleaning services in a row, we found Sebastian Cleaning. Since hiring Kristin and her team we can now focus on running our business, instead of worrying about our building being taken care of. We could not be happier! Kristin and Sebastian Cleaning came into our lives at one of the worst times possible. Our Uncle had just died, we live out of state and there were a million things that needed to be done during our time of mourning. Kristin came in, cleaned up the trauma area and did much more after that. She took items to donation, removed the items that could not be donated, cleaned the rest of the house, met with the insurance adjuster, the realtor and hired contractors needed to get the home ready to be listed for sale and shown. I could not have asked for anything more, during an immense time of need she truly was heaven sent.
