Create a unique outdoor sculpture gallery that connects all major aspects of the city’s beautiful “Cultural Waterfront Corridor” and the downtown businesses. Help Sculpture Walk improve the quality of life in St. Petersburg. project is designed to be self-funding. With initial start-up costs, such as pedestal construction, installation and lighting, the Executive Director and board would sell “Name” sponsorship to the private sector, and sponsorships for each sculpture site. Sponsor amounts would vary according to site location. Sponsorships would be 2-year commitments with structured quarterly payments to widen the sponsorship pool by alleviating a bulk sum contribution. Sponsorship levels will be set at a price point that covers all cash flow needs. Sales of artworks will be attempted, but not required for operational success. Since the city is not purchasing these sculptures as public art, selling the artworks, plus massive exposure, will entice the artists to participate.
