Annette now develops and oversees the operations of food tours and activities in the Miami area for Savor Our City. She is eager to help the company grow to other exciting destinations within the US and to other exciting destinations overseas, such as Italy and France. As the former So FL Marketing Manager for an Award-Winning Restaurant Group, Buckhead Life Restaurant Group based in Atlanta, Ga. and Director of Marketing for Atlanta’s Premier Day Spa, Spa Sydell. Dawn Bryan brings to Savor Our City an extensive background in hospitality communications in her new role as Sales Manager, where she will be concentrating primarily on the Miami market. Dawn will also play a part in creating the brand’s initiatives, event organization, and execution. Meridith has been a tour guide with Savor Our City since December of 2016 and leads our “Savor Downtown Boca” & “Yoga & Healthy Foodie” tours and helps out at other events in the area as needed. Jessica was born and raised in Bar Harbor, ME. She graduated from the University of Maine and has worked in many capacities in the hospitality and tourism industry Jessica’s experience as a restaurant server, bartender and manager along with her friendly, upbeat personality make her a fun and fabulous tour guide for Savor Our City. She brings a wealth of knowledge about MDI, Bar Harbor and its culinary delights to every tour. Tara is an adventurous, educated and passionate foodie which she claims stems from her early upbringing. Born in Paris, France. Tara grew up in New York where she was surrounded by culture, art. Growing up in such a vibrant city and with a culturally diverse family, Tara became inspired at an early age to try cuisines from around the world. Spending hours in the kitchen with her Lebanese and Italian grandparents is one of her fondest of childhood memories. All the shopping, watching, smelling, tasting and time spent in the kitchen helping prepare family feasts, using a wide variety of spices and Ingredients is how Tara learned instinctively to create delicious meals. Eating out and experiencing new restaurants and foods is one of her favorite pastimes, as it combines her love of decor, travel, food, and community. She is an artist living in Delray Beach and loves guiding foodie, art and historical tours of our great cities. Manja Manja. Marcia has proudly called herself a “Maine-iac” for 40 years (so far) after moving from Boston to Portland, Maine one week before the big Blizzard of 1978. After an illustrious career in municipal Parks & Recreation for over 35 years, Marcia retired in 2013. Marcia’s wanderlust led her to become a tour director, providing her the opportunity to travel, explore and meet new people. She is always up for the next adventure! Marcia proudly showcases her beloved Portland and the great state of Maine on her various tours, primarily for cruise ship passengers and Road Scholars. Her tours are fun, upbeat and a wealth of information! Savor Our City’s “Taste of Portland” walking tour is one of her specialty tours. Greg was born in Maine but spent his early years moving up and down the east coast as his father was in the Navy. He returned to his home state to attend college at the University of Maine. After graduating, Greg moved to the Portland area where he has lived ever since. Married for over 36 years, Greg and his beautiful wife have raised two daughters who are now grown and making their way in the world. One daughter lives in Los Angeles and the other in New York City which gives Greg and his wife a good excuse to take a vacation and go see them and their grand dog (no grandchildren yet.) Greg enjoys watching all sports and coached his girls’ teams in softball, basketball, and soccer as they grew up. He mostly enjoys baseball and gets his fix by working in the summertime for the AA minor league team, the Portland Sea Dogs. He is also a history buff and loves hiking and the outdoors, just not in the wintertime. After 38 years of working for the same company, Greg decided to retire and enjoy life. WHO WE ARE We are food and wine aficionados who have turned our love and passion for all things food & wine into a thriving business. Groups book us for team building activities – food tours, wine tastings, cooking classes, mixology classes, scavenger hunts. They also book us for client appreciation events, milestone birthday celebrations, bachelorette parties and community outings. Companies coming into one of the destination cities we service for conventions offer our tours/experiences to their participants &/or their spouses looking to do something in addition to the usual golfing or fishing excursion. If you work for a DMC, Cruise line, Receptive Tour operator, Hotel, Travel Agency, Shore Excursion/Tour company and have a group coming into one of our nearby cities, please contact us for a quote for a customized private group tour or class. Denise is probably most recognized for her popular Foodie Events which started in 2009 while working for the largest property owner in Downtown Boca Raton. It was during her tenure there that Denise garnered recognition as a local food authority and resource for folks wanting to know where to go and what to do in the Downtown area in which she has lived and worked for 15+ years. She is sought after as a judge at various local food competitions and attends many restaurant openings and food & wine festivals and charity galas which she attends and writes about in her food & lifestyle blog, Savor Our City. Denise is active in the communities in which she serves and aligns herself and her company with several charitable organizations by donating both her time and resources to help support them by promoting upcoming charity galas in her bimonthly e-newsletter as well as her new monthly video series launching 1st Quarter 2018. A mom to two fur babies, Palmer and Holly, Denise lives with her husband in Boca Raton, FL.
