If your out-of-state license is valid, you only need to take a vision test. If your license is invalid, or if you are a first-time driver, a written exam and driver’s test are required. You must provide the vehicle for the driver’s test. . You must submit your valid Florida driver’s license number or Florida identification card number. If you do not have either of these, you must provide the last four digits of your Social Security number. Your voter registration card will be mailed to you. When we decided to buy a property in Sarasota, our decision was depended on finding a trustworthy, experienced international realtor that was knowledgeable and a person who understood the apprehension of buying a vacation home far away from home, in a different country. Never did he sway us one way or the other on our decision but let us know the pros and cons. After looking at some existing properties, we decided to build a home with a builder. He again was very supportive of our decision and helped us through the process. We left Sarasota while the house was being built and John offered to take care of things while the property was being build. When we left for Canada, we had complete confidence in John to take care of things during the building process. John treated us like family. John was honest and trustworthy, helpful without being pushy. I practiced Real Estate law for 35 years. I met many real estate agents over the years none of them impressed me more than John We finally made our first trip to Sarasota in March 2012. We also met John in person for the first time. We found John to be a terrific person and pleasant to deal with. Most important was the fact the he was very much customer oriented. Before going to look at various properties that he had scheduled, he gave us a mini tour of Sarasota showing us different areas and communities that would match our requirements. We found the tour to be helpful and most informative as it played an important role in us making a final decision where to buy. It also solidified our conviction that Sarasota would be where we would buy our second home.
