The Founder of Sang at Lunch Kamel Daniel is a graduate of Miami Dade College and received her Associates of Science Degree in Music Business and Creative Performance. She also has a Bachelor of Fine Art Degree in Painting and Drawing from OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. Sang at Lunch is a music management company that was created to provide places for musicians to perform and uplift the people in her community. The musicians that represent Sang at Lunch play live music with positive messages. They perform at Middle schools, High schools, Homeless shelters and Nursing homes. Music and the arts are being taken our of schools and Kamel's mission is to bring it back one school at a time. Music brings joy and is a creative outlet for children. It helps build their confidence and self esteem. In an article titled , Melissa Locker wrote "Science has shown that when children learn to play music, their brains begin to hear and process sounds that they couldn’t otherwise hear. This helps them develop “neurophysiological distinction” between certain sounds that can aid in literacy, which can translate into improved academic results for kids."
