This September will mark the eighth anniversary of the Saint Augustine Camera Club (SACC). The club began with seven women around a dining room table and has grown to well over one hundred members. Club members are an eclectic mix ranging from active and retired professional photographers to beginners who are picking up a camera for the first time or after a long hiatus from the film days of old. SACC has monthly meetings in the conference room at Watson Realty on US 1 South. Attending members and guests usually number about 60, all with a zest for photography. Meetings start promptly at 6 pm and finish up around 8 pm. From January through November, meetings feature a guest speaker with a 45-minute program followed by a Q&A session. After the presentation, we take a short break, then reconvene with a brief club announcement segment. Club Vice-President Laryssa Gobets presents a short helpful-hint segment. The remainder of the meeting is devoted to reviewing member images for our monthly assignment.  Each month members submit digital photographs following an assigned theme such as “shiny” or “reflections.” These images are projected during the meeting for group discussion and critique. Twice a year the images are submitted in an 8 1/2" x 11" print format. December is reserved for our Christmas Banquet and Holiday Card Contest. Saint Augustine Camera Club
