John obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration – Finance degree from the University of Kentucky in 1984 and graduated from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law in 1987. John became a partner at the Louisville law firm of Boehl Stopher & Graves in 1992 where he practiced until 1999 when he became a founding member of Phillips Parker Orberson & Arnett (formerly Phillips Parker Orberson & Moore) in Louisville, Kentucky. In 2013, Phillips Parker Orberson & Arnett, PLC opened its Florida office in Key West. John currently serves clients in Kentucky and Florida. a high-performance sailing company in the Florida Keys.
