John’s regular attendance at his daughter’s swim meets, and dedicated coaching certainly reflects their current model and approach to instruction and positive development techniques. Both Carrie and John continue to gain from positive lifestyles that include swimming as a regular means of exercise and stress management. John’s credentials also include the WABU certifications, making him available for those wanting to participate on a swim team, learn the strokes, or for adults seeking a challenging or more sports oriented training. John resides in Dade City, offering travel accommodations in Pasco County and the northern region of Hillsborough County and holds a Master's in Business Administration. With a genuine love of swimming, both Carrie and John ensure every swimmer a fun-filled lesson and learning experience that is sure to be treasured by each student. WELCOME TO SAFETY HARBOR SWIM SCHOOL Here at the Safety Harbor Swim School, our swimming philosophy is channeled into all that we do. Based upon Australian principles, teaching children to swim begins with comfort in the water while maintaining an enjoyable, quality experience throughout. We help foster a love of swimming for children with less exposure to the water, and even those a little afraid of it. We teach survival skills with a gentle approach, conducting only One-to-One lessons with our swimmers. Our private instruction with your child builds confidence in the water, while always keeping safety in mind. Our philosophy incorporates swimming as part of healthy living. We encourage our swimmers to progress at their individual pace, ensuring a positive and fun experience for our students. We have grown by word-of-mouth by earning the trust of both parents and children, in building greater confidences, and through the development of every child’s swimming ability. My two boys take lessons here and a few of their friends from the neighborhood are taking lessons here too. It’s nice to know we can give our kids something our community is sharing in. Coach Carrie was my teacher from 8th grade. I remember we first started talking about swimming because she was all pumped up for a triathlon and because I wanted to make the high school team like my brothers this year. Coach Carrie told me she could check out my strokes to get me ready for tryouts. I train with her and her dad and they are teaching me how to swim faster without straining so hard. I’m so making that team this year!
