The aim of this project is to design optimised motion detection algorithms to run on an embedded system’s digital signal processing (DSP) core. The DSP core offers high data throughput in a small, low power package making it ideal for portable motion detection applications. The diagram below illustrates the system the algorithms are to be built on.
Floating point operations should be avoided as they execute very slowly on the DSP. The DSP does not provide any hardware floating point support.
I purchased a Nikon D5300 early 2016. Since then I have loved finding interesting subjects to take pictures of. My preferred style of photography is landscapes in beautiful locations, however I have also dabbled in portrait and product photography.
