Dr. Schultz’s expertise stems from over 20 years of experience within the Managed Care industry, with focus on creatively leading, developing and implementing pharmacy benefit management activities within national PBMs and health plans. Within her tenure in healthcare management she has led clinical pharmacy oversight for Commercial, self-insured (ASO) employer group, Medicare, Medicaid, and Duals/MMP business and has earned her reputation through championing the coordination, promotion, and execution of Multi-disciplinary Disease Management/Clinical Intervention programs that demonstrate improved health of plan members/populations. These initiatives target physicians, pharmacists and patients in order to create evidence-based synergy between those that can directly affect optimal pharmacotherapy and healthcare behaviors while at the same time manage payer costs. Her successes include: Spearheading the funding approval, development and expansion of an MTM Care Center focused on patient-centric outreach to government business membership Prior to moving into consulting, Dr. Schultz was the Vice President of Clinical Pharmacy, Government Services at Amerigroup, including centralized oversight of Medicare Pharmacy benefit management and Staff VP of Clinical Pharmacy Government Business Division at WellPoint/Anthem. In addition, she has held various leadership roles within the PBM and Health Insurance industry that focused on pharmacy account management. Dr. Schultz was also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Pharmacy where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree.
