Dr. Carey Rowan completed his seventh medical mission on behalf of Medical Ministries International earlier this year. He journeyed with a team to Riohacha, Colombia, for two weeks to aid impoverished residents. “I just feel like it’s not enough,” said Rowan. “I feel blessed to do something, to help somebody. Vision affects life.” As part of a philanthropic mission trip coordinated through Medical Ministry International, Rowan, who lives in Clearwater, joined a team of more than 50 doctors, nurses and other volunteers who administered critical vision care to thousands of people in the region.
