Robin R Designs is a home based business with a husband/wife team that has just begun producing home decor items with beach/coastal themes. Our products can be seen in the Coconut Point Mall in Estero, FL and will soon be available on Handmade at Amazon. Robin is the beautiful face of Robin R Designs and delights in providing the creative ideas, drawing and painting for the business. She has a background that includes education in design, teaching art and running her own home staging company. She loves making fun things that people can use to decorate their homes and lanai's. Her love for the beach and all things tropical comes out in everything she creates. Grant provides the construction expertise and implemented most of the business and computer infrastructure. He is a traditional handy man who loves to experiment with new and better ways to make things. His skills come from a lifetime of maintaining automobiles, remodeling houses and even building an ultralight aircraft. His background is education, where he worked as a teacher, coach and administrator in California, Oregon and Florida. We have a variety of handcrafted items to help you decorate your lanai, covered porch, pool bath or kids rooms. All products are handmade using 4" wood fence pickets braced on the back with 1" x 2" bracing secured with screws. Each item is painted in fun, beachy colors and then given additional painting and sanding to give it a vintage, weathered look. A final coat of acrylic is applied on the front for additional protection. Our products are weather resistant and built to handle the humidity of Florida summers, but we do not recommend they be placed in direct exposure to weather.
