ROBE LIGHTING INC., officially known as ROBE Lighting s.r.o., was founded through the collaboration between Josef Valchář, who initiated sound-activated lighting effects marketed under his company ProLux, and ProLux's sales manager. The partnership led to the creation of Robe Show Lighting in 1993, marking the birth of a venture that would evolve into pioneering the entertainment lighting industry. Their innovative approach commenced at their first Frankfurt ProLight & Sound exhibition by securing their inaugural OEM customer–Steinigke Showtechnic GmbH. Initial products included scanners and sound-activated fixtures, with notable advancements such as the Dominator effect which integrated first-generation servo motors, making all Robe products DMX controllable. Throughout its history, ROBE Lighting INC. has expanded globally through strategic joint ventures like Coemar’s TAS brand launch and increased presence in over 50 countries. Emphasizing innovation, they debuted pivotal product lines such as the Advanced Technology (AT) Series at PLASA 2002 which became flagship offerings. ROBE's commitment to growth led to significant advancements such as an Anolis architectural LED lighting line, a state-of-the-art research and development center, and expansions enhancing production capabilities. Notably, their pioneering ROBIN range was introduced with revolutionary plasma lamp technology in Frankfurt 2009. As of Florida, the company is incorporated with operations at 3410 Davie Road, Suite 401, Davie, FL, serving an extensive market through a robust distribution network led by Lorienn Cochenour and CFO Dawn Adams.
