Rise Up 4 Change Inc. Lives are being changed and impacted throughout Miami-Dade County and we’re just getting started. We believe there’s a better way and we’re all yearning for a change to come, but in order to see positive change in the world we have to start with our youth. We’re inspired and motivated to help change the world. “Rise Up 4 Change” is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization educational program that works closely with disadvantaged/homeless youth to give our younger generation a more meaningful way to take control of their lives, choices and decisions. We’re building relationships with community leaders, parents, forming partnerships, other non-profit organizations, and dignitaries to ensure our youth are not forgotten or left behind. Records from the Miami-Dade Examiner’s office show in the last decade, 316 children and teens have been killed by guns–an average of over 30 a year in Miami-Dade have remained a chronic problem. Rise Up 4 Change Inc. works to increase at risk-youth awareness of the danger involved and consequences of gun violence. Our workshops and trainings are equipping our youth to become agents of social change. They’re taught problem solving skills, character building, complex causes of violence, breaking the cycle of violence, media impact on violence, changing attitudes changes behavior, exploring the issues of power and control, insecurity, self-esteem, and fear, social and emotional resilience, identity theft, bullying and social media danger, the root cause of relationship violence, healthy relationships, warning signs and red flags, thinking before you act, healthy bodies and strong minds, domestic violence, dating dangers, doing the right thing, and texting and driving dangers, mentoring and tutoring etc. Rise Up 4 Change Inc.
