RING AIR, LLC has a rich history rooted in the industrial world of St. Augustine, Florida, dating back to its founding by L.C. Ringhaver in 1947. Starting with water-based ventures, it's since become a key player as one of Southeastern United States' premier Cat Equipment dealerships. The journey began when Ringhaver was tasked at DESCO with boosting shrimp boat production, where he introduced modern assembly-line methods learned from GM's Cleveland Diesel. His innovations quickly propelled DESCO to global prominence as the largest builder of shrimp trawlers by 1952. Through a series of strategic acquisitions and shifts in focus towards diesel engines, RING AIR ascended to become Florida's leading dealer for Caterpillar Tractor Company engines. In 1961, Ring Power Corporation emerged as an official Caterpillar engine dealer, broadening its horizons into earth-moving equipment across North Florida. After L.C. Ringhaver’s passing in 1976, leadership transitioned smoothly to his sons, Lance and Randy Ringhaver, who infused fresh energy and innovative strategies into the company’s various business facets like used equipment sales, international markets, and rental services. By forging a strategic deal with Caterpillar, RING AIR expanded its footprint significantly through the establishment of RINGHAVER EQUIPMENT COMPANY IN CAMPBELLFIELD. The merger between Ringhaver Equipment Company and Ring Power Corporation at the close of the 20th century solidified a shared vision centered on delivering exceptional customer service. Today, RING AIR operates 26 locations with over 1,700 employees dedicated to high-quality services, guided by their 'Customers First' ethos.
