In 1981 Rex Discount was formed as a discount store on the corner of 42nd E 4th Ave. in Hialeah, Fl as a dream for Pepe Carrera, a man who had everything taken from him in his home country. He knew that with hard work, integrity, and motivation he could build whatever he put his mind to.
Due to perseverance and dedication, he built the company from the ground up. Acquiring more land and warehouse space as the company grew. Today Rex is still owned and operated by the same man and his family.
