Larry Honig started his retail consulting firm in 2006. In late 2009 he took a hiatus to work full time for Abercrombie & Fitch, helping the company jump-start its international expansion and get its Internet business on firm footing for explosive growth. He returned to his consulting firm in mid-2011. Larry has extensive experience streamlining operations and delivering superior returns for businesses in high-growth, turnaround, and start-up environments and has led operations for some of the biggest names in the retail industry. He has served as Chairman, CEO, CIO, and other positions, including – Rebranding a food and beverage concessions company serving football and baseball stadiums and convention centers, modernizing menu quality, and managing its successful IPO for private-equity owners. Business Week Larry was a partner at McKinsey & Company, specializing in strategy, managing engagements for international consumer goods and advertising clients. He served on the boards of The St. Paul Companies (prior to its merger with Travelers), May Department Stores Co., Centerplate Inc., Edison Brothers Stores, Inc., and Angelica Corp. Larry was a Captain in the U.S. Army. He received his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, his M.A. in Journalism from the University of Texas at Austin, and B.A. and B.S. degrees in American History and Commerce from Washington & Lee. Larry has done business in the U.K., Europe, China, Japan, India, Mexico and Central America, and is fluent in Spanish and French.
