of the management team, have created the best company in the Company Background In 1988, Christine Cottrell left her position as Director of Pricing at Richfood Inc., now SuperValu, to start RetailData Services in her garage. She maxed out her credit cards and purchased the most powerful PC available at the time, a Compaq 386, with printer, for $10,000. Christine’s goal was to radically change and improve the methodology for collecting competitive retail prices by implementing scanning technology and electronic data delivery. Christine was recognized as the Woman Entrepreneur of the Year for the state of Virginia in 1998. As founder/CEO, Christine maintains an unsurpassed passion for the business and continues to strive to make RetailData the standard of the industry. Our Philosophy Our original business model capitalized on the efficiencies of handheld technology to collect and communicate data. Building from that, RetailData continues to utilize the leading hardware and software advances to provide our clients with the most sophisticated network of data collection, field communication, and client communication available in the market today. We understand the importance and value of the data we collect, as well as the crucial business decisions it drives. We have invested in an extensive IT infrastructure to support our clients. RetailData’s state-of-the-art data center provides the industry-standard systems expected of a market leader. Our data collectors are RetailData employees whose sole focus is the collection of competitive pricing data. We are very efficient and accurate – it’s what we do! Our data collectors are managed by District Managers located throughout the country. Every client has a Client Service Manager (CSM) that interacts with our clients on a daily basis. RetailData collects pricing information in all 50 states as well as Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico. Our International services match our US operations in that we have dedicated data collectors, district managers and Account Executives for our clients headquartered and/or doing business in these countries.
