Founded in 2009, Respond Research was created to help small owners fix internal problems and experience rapid growth in order to increase the valuations of their companies. Business Model The two founders realized small businesses owners were unusually burdened with trying to solve their business issues. Mike and Jim found many small business owners wanted to progress from a role as an employee at their company, into being a true owner who works on growing the business value. Business owners were held back from getting to a point of working “on the business, instead of in the business” by a number of factors. The Respond Research team and its capabilities are designed around being able to help small business owners quickly settle into the role of working on their business. The team uses a proprietary no-risk rapid planning approach to present an initial short term plan to get things moving in the right direction as quickly as possible. Respond Research returns to your business with a well researched action plan that includes research on your competition, tactics to achieve your business goals, and calculated projections to show the anticipated return on your investment if you follow the plan. If you don’t hire Respond Research for any reason, the plan is yours at no charge. We find that in most cases, business owners see the value of the plan and ask for help making sure it starts and completes in a timely fashion.
