Within a few years ReMetrix became recognized as the national leader in large-scale aquatic vegetation mapping, in part through pioneering the commercial use of BioSonics hydroacoustics for submerged biocover and biovolume assessments. Since 1999 we have performed hundreds of aquatic mapping projects, including aquatic vegetation, bathymetric, sediment, and coastal seagrass projects. In 2005 ReMetrix adopted high-resolution hyperspectral aerial imagery mapping for large-scale aquatic vegetation species mapping through a partnership with Galileo Group, in addition to adopting other emerging field technologies. ReMetrix was also a pioneer in solving the complexity of mapping submerged vegetation in the expansive California Delta system. ReMetrix continues to enhance its expertise through the combined use of hydroacoustic surveys, remote sensing analyses, species sampling, sediment sampling, GIS, GPS-linked underwater imaging, and complementary technologies. Beginning in 2009 the company began building innovative capabilities for developing custom GIS tools and applications. We offer high-level skill in our ability to program custom GIS solutions that are web-based, mobile, and/or locally deployed.
