Josh Navarro is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer for Reliance Wholesale, Inc., a national wholesale pharmaceutical distributor of vaccines, plasma derivatives, biologicals, and supply sensitive pharmaceuticals. As the CEO, Mr. Navarro uses his experience in corporate restructuring, finance and management to run the day-to-day operations of Reliance and forecast its growth. Mr. Navarro began his business career in his family’s jewelry business, working in the stock room, sales, and eventually handling the company’s accounting needs. The son of Cuban immigrants, Navarro was instilled with a strong work ethic and with the belief of the American Dream; and with the encouragement of his family, Navarro pursued that dream – owning his own business. After working as the Operations and Financial Manager at a pharmaceutical distribution firm, Navarro decided it was time to apply his knowledge in finance, compliance, purchasing, negotiations and general business and started his own medical wholesale distribution company – Reliance. In 2003 Reliance opened its doors in South Florida, providing wholesale pharmaceuticals to local hospitals, doctors, and pharmacies. Today Reliance has offices in Florida and Tennessee and, under the direction and leadership of Josh Navarro, continues to diversify its product offerings and expand the type of health care providers it serves. Jose Trespalacios a former United States Marine, is an inspiring visionary. It is this drive, along with his passion for the healthcare industry that he brings to his position as Vice President of Reliance Wholesale Inc. His knowledge, experience and enthusiasm for the job are evident in all of his endeavors. Mr. Trespalacios has more than 21 years of experience in healthcare, as a clinician, manager and entrepreneur. He was also a founder and Chief Operating Officer of Edgewater Home Infusion, one of the first specialty pharmacies in the early 1990’s. After successfully building the company to a prominent position within the marketplace, Edgewater was acquired by Integrated Health Services Inc. (NASDAQ-IHS). While maintaining a leadership role in the management team, he was instrumental in growing the company’s infusion division to a national level. Later in his career, Mr. Trespalacios founded two other Specialty Pharmacies prior to joining Reliance in 2005. Precision Healthcare, Inc., located in Nashville, Tennessee and Seratech, Inc. located in Central and South Florida. Jose’s leadership and determination made it possible for each company to expand into ambulatory infusion centers, specialty distribution, mail order pharmacy as well as a chronic disease management division. These entities were acquired and merged into larger publicly traded companies within five years. Jose attributes his success to the people around him whom he says; “are always much smarter than me”. He is known for his professionalism and collaborative abilities, and his desire to help his team succeed wherever he goes. These qualities and his exceptional work ethic are the reasons he has been able to build long-term relationships with many of his original employees some of whom have followed him throughout his career. We’ve offered aid to those in need by donating locally to the Legal Services of Greater Miami, which provides legal assistance to mainly women, children, seniors, and other community members that are unable to provide for themselves. Reliance shows its appreciation for those that serve our country through the Wounded Warrior Project. This organization was founded to assist wounded veterans, their families and caregivers, while inspiring actions to help them get back on their feet. In addition to Haiti, Reliance has also made a generous donation through Unicef to help children in Japan affected by the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami.
