Maria Derchi Russo, our Executive Director, brings an impressive background in marketing to the table, honed through roles at Travelzoo and a parking startup. Her involvement with Women in Miami Tech highlights her passion for increasing gender diversity in tech jobs. Peter Martinez fills a dual role as a senior software engineer and community organizer. He's been instrumental in shaping academic technologies at the University of Miami, particularly through his work on Academic Technologies. Over eight years, he has co-organized key events that have elevated Refresh Miami's standing. Joining the team back in 2008 while pursuing Computer Science at Florida International University, Josh is now our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for On The Map Marketing and Local Staffing. His expertise spans internet marketing and crafting web/mobile tech solutions tailored to specific business needs, including pioneering indoor navigation systems that align with Google Project Tango. Refresh Miami Inc. has been proactive in designing technological tools to address a wide range of business challenges. These creations span remote control presentation apps, tablet app controllers, proximity monitoring systems, among other innovative products.
