Arriving at Redland Animal Hospital in January 1993, Maureen worked only one day a week for the first two years. She then worked part time for another two years before purchasing the practice in 1997. Redland Animal Hospital became a part of Kym’s life when she was searching for a veterinarian that she could entrust with the care of her pets and knew from the first time that she met Dr. Bushnell that her animals were in great hands. She was offered a job in 2004 as a technician and was guided into a management position. Caring for the animals and educating their owners is where her passion remains. When Kym is not working her main source of entertainment is her son, Bryland. In between all their outdoor activities they have fun with their three dogs, Mr. Nubbs, Shrek, and Dixie, their cat Man Man. They also do what they can to help foster stray dogs and find them forever homes with the help from This Is The Dog, a local rescue group. Jamie has lived in Homestead, Florida most of her life. She graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a Bachelors Degree in Family and Child Development. When she moved back to Homestead after finishing college, she found a growing passion for animals. She began working with a rescue organization called This is the Dog, which led her to become a client at Redland Animal Hospital. In 2013 she became an employee at RAH. She started off as a receptionist, then began working as a veterinary technician/assistant and now is our office manager. She has one fur-baby, Abby, that she rescued in 2012. In September 2016, she welcomed her new pride and joy into her family, her daughter, Madison. Matthew has been working in the veterinary field since 2004 and as a technician with Redland Animal Hospital since 2015. A south-dade native and proud Redlander he enjoys serving the local community by providing exceptional and thoughtful care to their four legged companions. Nicole joined the Redland Animal team in February 2017, she was born and raised in Miami and is fairly new to the Homestead/Redland area. Nicole and her fiancé have a beautiful baby boy and their beloved pooch Coco, who they rescued. In her spare time Nicole loves to spend time with her family, ride ATV’s and relax. Nicole has a deep love for animals and that is what brought her to Redland Animal Hospital. She graduated from Felix Varela High School as a Certified Veterinary Assistant. She grew up on a farm raising animals since a young age, this first triggered her passion for animals. Some of her crazy critters include dogs, cats, goats, chickens, pigs and rabbits. Savannah has been working in the Veterinary field for the past five years, and has been enjoying every minute of it. Savannah is currently enrolled at Miami Dade College pursuing her education further towards her dreams of one day being able to help not only pets, but pet owners as well by incorporating her want to help those in need. Maggie was born and raised in Homestead, FL on a little farm. Her passion for animals was seen at a young age. Being surrounded by all types of animals made her interested in working in veterinary medicine. On her journey she came across to Redland Animal Hospital who opened the doors to her. As a receptionist she enjoys greeting all the patients that come in on a daily basis. On her time off she enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family. Marissa was born in Osceola County and being the youngest sibling of four, Marissa was known to have a caring personality.​ Before starting middle school, she has always felt a love for animals, her own son (Snickers, Canine) can definitely prove that. As a senior in a medical high school an internship was required to graduate, she decided to experience what other RAH employees do and found an appreciation. After learning what happens in the field and behind the scenes, she wanted to be a part of the team when school was done. Soon the RAH family accepted her to help caring for people’s loved ones. Liany was born and raised in Cuba. She studied veterinary medicine in Cuba and obtained her doctoral degree. She moved to the United States in 2014 with hopes of having a better life for her and her family. She has been part of the Redland Animal Hospital family, as an assistant, since February 2016. She loves animals and working with them. She spends her time off with her two kids, Jonathan and Emily. Stephanie was born and raised in the good old sunshine state, where most of her time was spent on her grandfathers ranch. She comes from a deaf family and knows American Sign Language, English and Spanish. At the age of 5 she knew that she wanted to help and care for all living creatures great and small because of the love her grandfather showed for all his animals . Steph’s passion and love for animals got her into the field of veterinary care. She began as a volunteer at cat network during high school and volunteered for 3 years at Miami zoo. She was the head volunteer for exotic animal handling and training will at Miami Zoo. She went on to graduate with honors in 2008 from Holmes Braddock high. In 2013 received an AA in pre-veterinary medicine, and now she has been accepted into the vet tech program at Miami Dade college. In 2017, she graduated with her certification of Veterinary Tech. She also wants to purse a specialty in Exotics or Large animals in the near future . Steph lives with her boyfriend and 3 furry babies Alucard, a Fawn Siberian husky, Isis a black domestic short hair cat, and Raleigh a stripped orange domestic short hair cat . Fun fact all her babies are named after characters from comic’s books, movies or anime.
