I am a beautiful, messy, eclectic mutt of a Christian. I congregate with some crazy spirit-filled Anglicans on Sunday. They are my church family. I love something about every denomination and those that call themselves independent of denomination. I have worshipped and found Jesus in so many places because what I have found is that your faith is about how well you know Him and how well you choose to make yourself known. Over the past several years or so I have painstakingly chosen to make myself known… broken, bruised, and loved. This is a journey for the weak, the needy, the perfectionist, the zealot, and the Pharisee. It doesn’t really matter how you define yourself currently we are all in need of more… We all need this relationship with the Creator to define the created. Calvin says it this way, “True wisdom consists in two things: Knowledge of God and Knowledge of Self.” She Belongs With Me: Ransomed by Love This book is my story and my journey to fight for the childlike faith that God is so endeared to. I write about many of the same things that I have struggled with as part of my walk to know Jesus more intimately; in doing so, sometimes I’ve shared my own story and sometimes I share the stories of other women. I feel all women share in the search for personal identity, integrity, and purpose to some degree or another. We all long to belong to someone who will love us for who we are, what we are, and who we were designed to be. We fight to be both dependent and vulnerable like a little girl while possessing the tender strength and independent security of a grown woman. These things were not things that were bestowed on me, but things that I have only found in knowing how Jesus has healed and redeemed my story.
