April is here and we are already a third of the way through 2018.    Where does the time go? March was the end of our Bonnie Hunter Club.  We had about 6 ladies stick it out to the end, and while they enjoyed doing the “mystery” some of them said…Never Again!  If you’ve done the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt, please be sure to bring it in when completed so we can put a picture of it in our Newsletter. Though the Bonnie Hunter Club is done, we always have room for you if you’d like to join our ongoing Wool Club, Embroidery Club, or English Paper Piecing Club.  Bring something you’ve already working on or try something new.  There is always someone here to help. Our “Cadence Court” Block of the Month starts the third Saturday in April.  If you like paper piecing, or want to try something new, this is just for you.  The quilt consists of 20” wedges featuring 12 unique designs.  The fabric, foundation papers and your choice of black or white background fabric are included in the price.  The Cadence Court pattern book is extra.      Every second Monday we need volunteers to come out and help make pillowcases for Ryan’s  Smiles (10 am – 2 pm).  Extra hands are always needed to pin, sew, or press pillowcases.  We supply the fabric, you supply the love.  The Palm Beach County Quilter’s Guild has a Community Outreach program that meets here the 2nd Monday of each month from 5 – 9 pm. Extra hands are always needed to help cut, sort or kit projects to be handed out at the Guild meeting to make quilts for various charities.  If you would like to help, please stop in on Monday evening.        Though your BOM is picked up once each month, the kits are made up in advance, usually for the lenght of the BOM.  When someone decides to drop out, the cost of those premade kits falls to Quilt a Bit.  If you drop out, you foreit your last block's payment
