As a seasoned industry veteran, Rick has a strong track record for leading high-growth organizations and scaling businesses in competitive markets. He brings more than 15 years of experience leading private-equity sponsored companies and currently serves as a senior operating executive for Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe. Previously, Rick was the CEO of Ascend Learning, the leading provider of software and online content solutions that improve the quality and cost of educating healthcare professionals. Prior to Ascend Learning, he was the CEO of NewPage, a $4B manufacturing company, and COO of Teleglobe, a $1.2B software enabled telecom services business. Additionally, Rick had a 12 year career at General Electric where he served as a division CFO and held several general management and engineering leadership roles. Matt Hoogerland is Chief Financial Officer of Quick Base, where he oversees the organization’s financial, business operations and information technology departments. In this role, he helps drive process and system improvements for the business. Matt has more than 20 years of diverse finance experience and a track-record of driving growth in revenue, earnings, and cash generation, while improving business controls and efficiencies. Prior to joining Quick Base, Matt was CFO of leading logistics provider Ozburn-Hessey Logistics (OHL), which was acquired by Geodis. Before OHL, he held several senior finance management positions at Brady Corporation and Metavante Corporation. He also served in a number of progressive finance roles at Grande Cheese Company, Ford Motor Company, and First Chicago NBD. Matt holds an M.B.A. from the University of Iowa School of Business and a B.A. from the University of Washington. Frank Tino is Chief Technology Officer at Quick Base, where he is responsible for all technical aspects of the product line and oversees Quick Base’s global engineering team. Frank has more than 25 years of software development experience, and over 15 years in positions of senior management, leading engineering, operations and product teams. He brings experience in a variety of technologies and domains, including enterprise offerings, SaaS, mobile, B2C, online services, eRetailing, data warehousing, storage and security, among others. Prior to his involvement with Quick Base, Frank served as CTO of GSN Digital, a leader in the casual gaming space and a division of the Game Show Network. Previously, Frank served as a senior executive of product development and engineering at companies including Vela Systems, Iron Mountain Digital, Revenio and Informix, among others. SVP of Product Management Jay Jamison is Senior Vice President of Strategy and Product Management at Quick Base. He joined in September 2017 to lead the overall product strategy and roadmap for the business. Jay has nearly two decades of experience in the technology industry with a focus on high-growth markets. Throughout his career, he has developed product strategies and roadmaps tailored to meet the needs of customers of all sizes —from small businesses to the world’s largest enterprises. Prior to joining Quick Base, Jay was the Vice President of Strategy for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s Software Defined and Cloud Group, where he was responsible for the business strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and partnerships for that organization. Prior to that role, he was the Vice President of Product Marketing for HPE Helion, HPE’s cloud software division. He also has held leadership roles at Microsoft, and built extensive experience founding and investing in many high-growth startups.
