We provide weekly site safety inspections conducted by our safety and opera on leadership team. Our commitment to safe working practices extends beyond our work areas and employees. All PGE employees have the authority and responsibility to stop any unsafe acts or behaviors that is witnessed while working on any site. – We ensure that all employees have proper training in recognizing electrical equipment opera on standards. All PGE employees are required to complete the company’s risk-based safety training. We train new and existing employees on the company’s expectations, procedures and tactics for delivering the highest safety results, to include OSHA 10/30, Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E), CPR/AED and Defensive Driving We believe the way to achieve safety excellence is through operational ownership. Operational ownership means that Power Grid Engineering holds its managers accountable for the integrity of the operations they supervise. Our safety experts support and guide the safety and compliance programs, but the company expects its operations managers to take the lead. Our safety team comes from several different industries and has over 25 years of experience in the areas of transmission and distribution, oil and gas, power generation, warehousing, subgrade construction and material handling. is a stand-alone class that has been presented for over a decade. This seminar was developed for Relay Technicians by a Relay Technician. It provides the students with in-depth knowledge of how the protective relays work so the Relay Technician can better understand how the protective relay tests must work when executing testing & commissioning activities.
