As Principal and Co-Founder of PVE, LLC, Jim also serves as a Principal Engineer, Chief Executive Officer and acting CFO. With extensive experience in the design, coordination and management of various land development and municipal public works projects, he supervises the Municipal and Private Land Development teams. His municipal experience includes serving as the engineer for various municipalities in Western Pennsylvania, with a work curriculum including technical design and construction management of street improvement projects, storm and sanitary sewers, water supply systems, combined sewer overflow (CSO) investigations, parks and recreation facilities, and regional storm water management facilities. His private land development experience includes site design, permitting and management for commercial projects, residential developments and industrial parks. As Principal and Director of Environmental Services for PVE, LLC, Chris manages all aspects of the firm’s Environmental Services Division. Since 1995 he has conducted and supervised the remediation and investigation of hazardous waste sites, brownfields, petroleum spills, landfills and a variety of industrial and commercial sites. Chris has been responsible for environmental due diligence for real estate transactions at hundreds of sites, as well as the regulatory permitting for geologic characterization projects for Class II, V and VI injection wells. Chris’ responsibilities include business development, client management, project management, construction management, regulatory permitting/compliance, staff training and supervision, and health and safety oversight. His skills as a consultant on complex and sometimes contentious matters have earned him the trust and respect of clients and regulatory agencies. PVE, LLC was founded in 2008 from one of the strongest small engineering firms in Western Pennsylvania, Partridge Venture Engineering. Originally known as Partridge Engineering, the Company was founded in 1986 by Donald B. Partridge, P.E. Jim Venture, P.E. joined the firm in 1999 and in January 2000 the original company expanded to become Partridge Venture Engineering (PVE). Under Jim Venture’s leadership, PVE developed a reputation for providing high quality engineering services to municipal public works and private land development clients in Western Pennsylvania. PVE, LLC diversified its consulting portfolio by expanding to offer environmental services in 2011 through a collaboration with Conrad Geoscience Corporation. Conrad Geoscience provided PVE, LLC, with an experienced staff of geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental professionals working in the fields of water resources, land revitalization, energy, and climate. Founded in 1996, the staff of Conrad Geoscience, now working as part of PVE, LLC, has built a strong reputation in groundwater and surface water protection over the past 15 years. Through further firm mergers and selective employee recruitment, PVE, LLC has developed an unparalleled level of expertise in civil engineering, land planning, structure design, environmental analysis, and municipal services.
