About PCG Public Partnerships
We're PCG Public Partnerships. States, counties, and managed care organizations come to us for financial management services (FMS) to support participant direction programs. These programs allow aging adults and individuals with disabilities to make choices about the services they receive, how they are delivered, and by whom. Our tag line sums up our role well: Supporting Choice. Managing Costs.™
PCG Public Partnerships provides consulting services to many of our clients to help design and develop participant direction programs. We introduce national best practices in financial management, quality customer service and technology to help support participant direction programs. We truly value the role of choice and control in making people's lives—and public policy—better.
According to recent studies, many aging adults and people with disabilities want to age in their home and community, where they’re comfortable. Self-direction helps give people the ability to do that.
Participants are able recruit and directly hire whomever they would like to provide them with services, including family members and friends. This means the Participant, who is the employer, can schedule, train, and dismiss their Home Care Workers as necessary.
Financial Management Service (FMS) Providers are here to support the independent lifestyle that self-direction offers.
At the most basic level, the FMS helps Participants with payroll processing, taxes, budget management, and other fiscal aspects of employing Home Care Workers.
While any FMS Provider can process payroll and taxes, experience matters. For the most experience and community focus for Participant-direction programs, Participants choose PCG Public Partnerships as their FMS provider. To learn more about Public Partnerships’ service,
Starting with our Leadership Team, the staff at PCG Public Partnerships make it our business to make sure participant direction works for you.
PCG Public Partnerships first developed to help the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJ) national pilot demonstrations in Participant-direction in 1999. Since then, Public Partnerships staff have continued to participate in advisory committees on the RWJ Cash and Counseling Program. Over the past ten years we have expanded our services and grown to support nearly 103,000 participants and their more than 118,000 home care workers.
A little piece of history. Bill Mosakowski, President of Public Consulting Group, and Marc Fenton, President of Public Partnerships welcome employees to their new office in 2006.
