Dr. Gupta has worked in a variety of clinical settings including hospitals, residential treatment, outpatient clinics, and day treatment programs. She brings many years of experience working with culturally diverse populations and subscribes to a multidisciplinary treatment approach to her patient well-being. Her work in research has resulted in an increased understanding in the treatment of trauma in children and adolescents. She holds a specialty level of education as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (C.E.D.S.) and regularly participates in education events in this field. She is trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and is part of DBT consultation team known as the South Florida DBT network. She has received intensive training through Marsha Linehan's training program at Behavioral Tech. in DBT and runs weekly skills groups along with provides adherent DBT care to those patients who may benefit from it. Dr. Henah Gupta is the current past president for the South Florida Chapter of the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP). She served as President for multiple terms, as Vice-President and has participated in the National Board for IAEDP.
