Helping your journey towards a better tomorrow. . . I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (license #: MH 11419) who specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders and trauma. I am also experienced at resolving a myriad of other clinical issues such as chemical dependency, co-dependency, low self-esteem, depression, bereavement, relationship issues, and life transition struggles. My training and experience has allowed me to gain insight to support clients struggling with chronic pain, career confusion, disordered personality traits, and clients who are in the midst of grief related to infidelity and divorce. After fourteen years of working in the mental health and substance abuse milieus, I remain just as passionate about counseling and confident in my ability to help individuals overcome challenges, alter their thinking patterns, and identify their strengths for a more fulfilling life. I truly believe in the resiliency of the human spirit to persist despite tremendous challenges and as a therapist, it’s my unrelenting mission to help my clients gain strength and courage to make the changes necessary to bring relief and improved quality of life. My therapy style is one that has been described as warm, compassionate, patient, and non-judgmental. While trying to help my clients resolve presenting life difficulties as quickly as possible, I simultaneously strive to ensure that the therapeutic relationship is primary and that my clients feel safe before exploring difficult issues. Helping your journey towards a better tomorrow. . . I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (SW11202) and have been working in the mental health industry in excess of 20 years. My diverse professional background includes working in community mental health, residential treatment, and a private practice while providing individual, family, and group therapy sessions. My belief in the power of change when clients are willing and open to the possibility has been affirmed through my years working as a psychotherapist. I have dedicated my practice to helping children, adolescents and adults radically transform their lives by helping them overcome barriers and develop the tools necessary to solve life stressors so that they may achieve their fundamental happiness. We firmly believe that the therapeutic relationship is more effective if it’s collaborative. Throughout the course of treatment, we will develop goals together and your progress will be reviewed regularly. Although we seek to resolve our client’s struggles as expeditiously as possible, sometimes it may take longer to resolve issues related to trauma or disordered personality traits. For this reason, we provide both short-term and long-term therapy. The length of treatment will be different for each client and treatment will be tailored to each client’s individual needs.
