Progress Florida Is Working To Move Florida Forward. Founded in 2008, Progress Florida is a nonprofit organization promoting progressive values through online organizing, media outreach, and networking with Florida's leading progressive organizations. Progress Florida advocates for progressive, pro-middle class policies and holds our elected officials accountable by empowering citizens in their communities. We're fighting for social justice, economic fairness, strengthening public education, health care reform, environmental protection, and much more. Progress Florida combines online organizing and communication with offline action to win progressive solutions for our state and local communities. We work with our extensive network of members and advisers to maintain a 24-7 rapid response media operation that pulls no punches when taking on the extreme right. Progress Florida activates our members and ensures that the progressive voice is heard on issues that matter to Floridians. We watchdog the actions of Florida's elected leaders and hold accountable those officials who are in the pocket of corporate special interests. Rick Scott and legislative leaders after Scott signed House Bill 41, which legitimizes and permanently funds with taxpayer dollars fake clinics that use medically inaccurate information to oppose abortion and judge, shame, and mislead women.
