Prisoner Bench LLC was started by retired Police Lt. Bill Candeletti in New Jersey after he got the idea for a specialized bench while working at the family-owned iron works shop where he'd first come up with it. He saw an opportunity there-bodies need to sit, folks, and especially law enforcement could use benches that were tough as nails and did what they needed. Bill decided there was potential in this market niche. In 2011, Prisoner Bench LLC took formal shape and got its incorporation papers signed off in sunny Florida where it operates out of a headquarters at 9155 June Lane, right in the heart of Saint Augustine. For years now, Prisoner Bench has been on a successful path across the U.S., with hundreds of law enforcement agencies picking up their benches every year. They're not just any old benches; they've really thought this through to fit the unique demands that come with the job when it comes to holding folks in place.
