The paper industry has been known as one of the most unfriendly industries when it came to the environment. Paper mills have drastically changed their paper production methods, For every tree harvested, mills plant a trees Almost 100% of the water used for producing paper is recycled and reclaimed for treatment before released to the environment. Most paper produced in this country has a large recycled content. Printers have also cleaned up their act. Most inks used are soy based, most printers (not all) have a recycling program. Today there is a very large and easily available solvents list for use in printing which are biodegradable and made of natural products (thanks to high price of oil).
