Who we are The PR Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (PRHCC) was founded in 2000 becoming the most active hispanic business community in the State of Florida, serving six counties: . We have recently expand to Puerto Rico. We organize and sponsor a great variety of business and community events, business expos, grand openings, networking opportunities and cultural events. The chamber promotes the creation of community leaders by recognizing them with the “Shining Star Awards”. This award celebrates the amount of business generated for our members visitors, and many entrepreneurs that have launched their businesses using Chamber relationships which have led to the establishment of a successful business in our community. Our uniqueness, our individuality, and our life experience molds us into fascinating beings. We save our members time and money by connecting them to the right contacts and advising them about Florida market, trends, and uniqueness, especially in the Hispanic market. Our experience has should us that timing is everything, been at the right place, at the right time, and with the right contact is what matter the most for businesses. The PR Hispanic Chamber has been doing this for the past sixteen years, business to business, community to business, and consumer to products, this how we differentiate our self. We challenge ourselves to delve into the deepest resources of our members and contacts to cultivate an atmosphere of the best business possible for our members and our community. PRHCC was founded by our President, Mr. Frank Nieves. Mr. Nieves has over 40 years in business management & entertainment industry. Started his career in the 80’s as an event producer in Puerto Rico and later became a Telecom engineer working for Fortune 500 companies such as Siemens, Northern Telecom and former PR Telephone Company among others. His career gave him the opportunity to open new markets in Latin American countries, The Caribbean, and Florida. He has been recognized for his contribution to the business community in Florida several times. In 2001, he created the PR Fiestas Patronales & Biz Expo™ making it the largest Hispanic Event in Broward County. The Winter Fest Parade has it first hispanic theme boat thanks to Mr. Nieves winning a prize in this event. The Trustee level members strongly support all activities of the PR Hispanic Chamber and recognize the importance of the Hispanic community. Their business is predominately recognized in all Chamber marketing material and at all Chamber events. They enjoy access to our members through our newsletters, other publications, at monthly networking events, Internet, social media and community events. This board makes recommendation to what programs to implement as well as whom the chamber should partner with. They are always in the look for new endeavors that can benefit chamber members by increasing their business and visibility within the Hispanic Community. They receive Executive Trustee level discounts on advertising in any Chamber program as well as with our promotional partners, and they have first opportunity to become an exclusive industry sponsor to any chamber event or program. Government representatives are our liaison to improve communication, implement new programs and and build partnerships. Hispanic Business Advisory Board The Hispanic Business Advisory Board (HBAB) program supports and enhances procurement opportunities for Hispanic-owned companies through networking, relationships, access to capital, advocacy and technical assistance. HBAB members become part of a dynamic group, a strong voice for the rapidly-growing class of Hispanic entrepreneurs who are leaders in their industries and who are collectively helping this county towards economic development. This board also serves as a catalytic, utilizing their business expertise to provide advise in various topics if a members is in need of. HBAB is the chamber’s elite lead exchange group. At a board level they get to analyze and disseminate all chambers leads to members and the opportunity to create sub committees.
